100 Million BC

A scientist from the unsuccessful Philadelphia Experiment transports a team of Navy Seals back to the Cretaceous period to rescue the first team he sent there during the 1940s. Things go haywire, so it's no surprise that the men bring a giant man-eating dinosaur with them when they return. This followed them through the time portal back into the modern world, right into the middle of downtown Los Angeles.
